A Visit, A Blowout and The Heat

It was hot in August 2018, so we needed to find ways to cool off and have some fun!! I bought a small pool for Sally, and it didn't take her long to figure out what to do.

We are loving it!!

Then again, this heat...thanking the dog gods for having air conditioning!!

What else was going on??? Oh yes, we had a visitor. Sally helped prepare the bed, as you can see, and found it to be very comfortable.

And let's not forget to take some fun selfies!!

Now, there is the blowout story left to tell. My friend and I decided to stay in the city overnight, so it was the first time Sally spent the night at the doggy day care. She did great!! We picked her up the next day and took her home with us. My friend slept downstairs next to Sally's crate, and in the middle of the night I heard her come upstairs, telling me it smelled awful. I went downstairs, and it was indeed terrible. Sally had a massive blowout all over her crate. Poor thing was miserable. I managed to get her into the bathtub, calmed her down, and cleaned her up nicely. The next day, she was back to normal, my friend and Sally.
